On Monday, August 24^th at approximately 12:30 PM, authorities from the Drew County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence located at 169 Bowser Road in reference to a disturbance where a person at the scene was allegedly armed with a knife. When they arrived at the residence, they found four people standing outside the home.  A resident of the home, Ngoclan Barnett, age 36 of Monticello, was arrested on charges of assaulting two of the victims with a knife. She was arrested and transported to the Drew County Detention Facility where she was charged with aggravated assault. She was taken for a first appearance before District Judge Ken Harper who released Barnett on her own recognizance.
