The Criminal Investigation Division of the Drew County Sheriff's Office consists of one full-time detective; Lt. Rick Harvey investigates and processes all crimes that occur within the jurisdiction of the Drew County Sheriff's Office. Duties of the investigator include the following:

• Investigating crimes
• Investigating missing persons
• Conducting interviews
• Follow-up investigations
• Preparation of warrants
• Compiling case files
