The Drew County Sheriff’s Department is looking for information regarding the theft of white Infiniti i30 four-door sedan which was reported stolen from 136 Old Deane Road at 1:30 AM Wednesday, July 4^th. The owned told the deputy that she left the keys in the vehicle which was unlocked. The vehicle had been recovered a few hours before she called authorities after it was found wrecked on Firing Range Road in Monticello at approximately 9 PM Tuesday, July 3rd.

A witness as the accident scene told authorities that the driver, a white male, was traveling south on Firing Range Road and almost hit the witness’s vehicle before the Infiniti left the road, crossing a ditch and came to rest in a wooded area. When the witness told the driver that he had already called authorities, the driver took off running. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and white shorts.
