A Drew County Sheriff?s Department investigation into a report of a missing purse resulted in the arrest of two individuals. The Sheriff's department received a report of a missing purse taken from a vehicle on January 31, 2011. Approximately one hour after the report was taken, the victim called to report that a credit card which had been in the purse at the time had been used at a local convenient store. A surveillance camera caught one suspect on video as the card was being used. During questioning of the suspect, investigators obtained enough information to arrest Christy Lynn Donaldson, age 31 of Monticello, and Dennis Paul Buckley, age 35 of Monticello. Donaldson was charged with breaking and entering, fraudulent use of a credit card, theft of property, and forgery second degree. Buckley was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, theft of property, and theft by receiving.

Donaldson was released on her own recognizance per District Judge Ken Harper. Buckley remains in jail on a $1,500 bond.
