Members of the Drew County Sheriff?s Department and the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence located at the Paradise Apartments on 425 South near the University of Arkansas-Monticello entrance on Thursday, July 15th.

During the course of an investigation, the Sheriff?s Department received information regarding the sale of marijuana and prescription pills from the apartment. Authorities were able to obtain a search warrant based on the investigation and information received. As officials were entering the apartment, the two occupants had run into the bathroom. When deputies entered the bathroom, the suspects were attempting to dispose of a green leafy substance in the toilet. Deputies recovered a bag containing approximately 20 grams of what is believed to be marijuana from the toilet. Another bag, which was also retrieved from the toilet, contained five smaller individually wrapped bags weighing approximately one (1) gram each of what is also believed to be marijuana. Additional evidence included four hydrocodone pills.

Arrested at the scene was Michael Webb, Jr., age 21 of Wilmar, and Antonio White, age 21 of Monticello. Both suspects were booked into the Drew County Detention Facility and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, (selling a controlled substance within) proximity to certain facilities (Drew Central Schools), keeping or maintaining a drug house, unauthorized use of property to commit crime, and tampering with evidence. District Judge Ken Harper placed a $1,500 bond on Michael Webb, Jr. He then bonded the following day. Antonio White was release on his own recognizance also the following day.
