A search warrant executed by the Drew County Sheriff's Department on April 7th at a Monticello trailer park located at 111 Cherry Street resulted in the arrest of Lenard A. Brooks, age 30 of Monticello. During the search, officers discovered 1.30 ounces of marijuana, of that approximately .36 ounces were individually packaged into five small bags. Brooks was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

After being transported to the Drew County Detention Facility, Brooks was taken before District Judge Ken Harper where he received a $1,500 bond. Brooks posted bond later that same day.
