Several churches and Pastors in and around Drew County have been contacted by individuals asking for money to help with repairs to their vehicle. Most of the calls are alleging that they were route to Monticello or Drew County and their vehicle had broken down and needed money wired to their location which many have been out of state. We have contacted the alleged repair shops and found no vehicles linked to the person requesting monies.

If contacted by any person soliciting money, those organizations and individuals should contact their local law enforcement agencies. These are obvious scams to target churches.
