On August 6, charges were filed by the Prosecuting Attorney's office against Albert Williams, Jr., age 47 of Drew County. Williams was charged with Domestic Battery-3rd Degree, a class B felony. He is also being charged as a habitual offender which is a class D felony.

Williams was arrested August 1 by Drew County Sheriff deputies for reportedly pushing a female who resides at the residence, hitting her with a wet towel, and also for biting her on the head. Williams was placed in the Drew County Detention Facility on a $15,000 bond. Williams bonded on August 3rd.
