Local Man Arrested For Theft in Prairie County

On April 22nd the Drew County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by Prairie County Sheriff’s Office regarding a stolen fertilizer spreader, valued at $25,000 being stolen from their county and was possibly located in our county. Prairie County had information that Mark Hallman, 32 of Drew County was the suspect in the theft.
The investigation lead to a farm on West Mt. Zion Road where the spreader was located and returned to the Prairie County. Prairie County obtained a warrant for Mark Hallman for theft of property. Sheriff Mark Gober arrested Hallman on Friday the 26th at his residence on Florence Road. Hallman was transported to Prairie County on a $30,000 bond.
