On Saturday, April 28, Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober received a report alleging that a juvenile female had been sexually assaulted. After interviewing the suspect, Michael A. Walls, age 40 of Monticello, was arrested and  placed in the Drew County Detention Facility charged with rape. He was taken for a first appearance on Monday, April 30^th, where he was issued a $100,000 bond.
