On January 9 at approximately 6:00 pm, a Drew County Sheriff Deputy was dispatched to a resident located at 144 Sixth Street in the Ladelle community in reference to an adult male slapping a 12 year old boy and chocking a 16 year old boy.  Alexander W. Selzer, 20 of Monticello, was arrested and transported to the Drew County Detention Facility where he will likely be charged with 2^nd degree battery and 3^rd degree battery. Selzer was released on his own recognizance by District Judge Ken Harper on January 10.
