Hit and Run Accident Leads to Arrest

On September 6th at approximately 3:30 AM, Drew County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to 354 West Johnson Street in Wilmar in reference to an argument which ended up leading to a hit-and-run accident. Witnesses reported to deputies that after an argument Tanesha Stanley, age 21 of Monticello, got into her vehicle and hit a parked car causing damage to the rear of the parked vehicle and left the scene of the accident. As deputies were trying to talk to Stanley she became irate and began struggling with the deputies as they tried to arrest her. She was eventually transported to the Drew County Detention Facility where she was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, no insurance, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Stanley was given a bond of $2,190. She bonded out the same day.
